3 days 2 nights

Welcome to Bandung guys. Follow my bandung trip.

DAY 1

Lunch at “ASLINYA LAKSANA” – No picture taken at this place.

Second Lunch at my family house – my dad kept talking about “KONGHU” noodle restaurant. It is an old restaurant which sell a big portion of fried noodles.

Here is the closer look….

DSC01256

Okay, up until here. My score for this fried noodle. Start with the portion is 4.5 out of 5. Well, it a very big portion guys, some may like it, some may no. The positive side, you can share with 1-5 people. The negative, they can make it smaller portion, so the price can become cheaper. This noodle cost me Rp 57,000,00. What do you guys think?

Next…

I went to visit my grand ma and she asked me to try “lemper” (glutinous rice with shredded chicken) because she said it is nice.

DSC01259

Well….Everyone in Indonesia must know about “tempeh” (a fermented soya bean). one way to eat tempe is by frying it with chives.

Day 1 – Dinner

The Valley, I’m pretty sure, you guys have heard about this restaurant. For my family, it kind a must to visit this restaurant every time we go to Bandung.

A starter, Zupa soup.

My dinner is a fabulous and fattening. Start with zupa soup is 5 out of 5. So far, I haven’t found zupa soup that is better than the valley zupa soup. It has a light cream so you don’t feel sick while eating it. The sushi platter, I personally can eat something that smell to fishy. I think it came from octopus or nigiri sashimi (I’m not pretty sure about the name). The environment is 4 out of 5. Why? the valley has a very pretty view whether it is in the morning or at night. but for the outdoor area still need an improvement (Especially while raining).

Day 2.

No Breakfast Sad smile

Lunch yay!!

We tried something new, here in Bandung. I asked my sister about new restaurant recommendation. We were ended up at Hummingbird at Jalan Progo, bandung. It located near jalan Banda and Jalan riau.

Here is the menu… from Western to Asian menu.

DSC01288

What we ordered? Fried Calamari served with salad and ranch/Mayonaise.
Score: 4/5 (Unique presentation, tasty but Spicy too much black pepper)

Dessert! Bananarama.

Waffle with Vanila ice cream served with grilled sugar banana and almond.
Scored: 5 out 5.

Crispy waffle with a banana is a perfect combination. Yum.

DSC01293

For those who don’t know. I currently hunting for the best rainbow cake. So far, Ninotchka Cafe is the best. (Food review soon).

Now, the presentation is the same as other rainbow cake (serve with cream cheese). If you noticed, the layers of the cakes aren’t put properly.

DSC01297

Here we come to the end, The fried lamb chops. I scored 3/5. Why? it taste absolutely delicious but some of the lambs not yet cooked. it still all red. Next time I’ll ask for well done Smile.

Cork and Screw

Nyam… Nyamm.. nyamm… this restaurant has the soft texture of triple choco lava cake. Super yummy, fluffy and of course unforgettable. Here is the picture…

DSC01252

Okay… Since I am so hungry at that time, I forgot to take a picture. So sorry guys. You guys must be wandering, what did I order? I ordered Hainan chicken rice (well nothing special). I should order different menu next time! This restaurant is located at Plaza Indonesia, Central Jakarta. Check out their website Cork and Screw.

Now, the moment of truth, I give this restaurant 5 out of 5 for the Milk Choco Lava Cake, 4 out of 5 for a dark choco lava cake and 3.5 from 5 for a white Choco Lava cake. Well, I have reasons for this. Firstly, it didn’t melt at the time I ate. Secondly, it taste like a normal custard cake.

How about my Hainan chicken rice? I scored this food 4.5 because they well cooked the chicken serve with unique plating decor. I minus 0.5 for the portion lol… it was small tho (the rice portion).

This restaurant has a unique interior design. Basically, this place isn’t big but they can make it looks big. This restaurant has smoking and non smoking. Happy trying guys.

4. Kangkung Belacan

DSC01235

This Kangkung wasn’t our favorite since it was different from what I imagined. We might no need to order this, since we already got lot of foods. Anyway I still ate it :D

5. Grilled Cheese Lobster ( Yumm :9 )

7. Mango Pudding

DSC01241

If you ordered coconut pudding and mango pudding at the same time, please… pleasee… finished the coconut pudding first! why? because once you ate the mango pudding, the sweet taste from coconut is gone. The mango pudding is sweeter than the coconut pudding. The overall score to this restaurant is 8/10.
